Titled "Unemployed Farmer, 1993", this was a drawing Charmaine drew of an unmployed farmer sitting in the St. Joseph, MO unemployment office. 1993 was the year of the 500-year-flood that became known as the "Flood of '93". Many farmers in the Midwest had been flooded out.

Outside the unemployment office were the National Guard soldiers distributing bottled water to long lines of St. Joseph residents while others were making sand bags to fight off the rising water.
